Indonesian Development Research Network Workshop 2016
The Indonesia Project at the Australian National University, in cooperation with the SMERU Research Institute in Jakarta, will organize the fourth Indonesian Development Research Network Workshop 2016 in mid- May, 2016 in Indonesia.
The objective of the Indonesia Project research network activities is to support and strengthen the rigour of social science research conducted by Indonesian researchers, through establishing an active network of Indonesian research institutes and holding annual research workshops and research grants to stimulate research cooperation between Indonesian and Australian research institutes.
Fourth Research Workshop, 2016
The aim for the fourth research workshop is to provide Indonesian research institutes a platform to present and discuss their current research in the area of economic development and policy, with particular focus on:
(i) Macroeconomics, Trade & Industry
(ii) Social Policy, Labour Markets & Human Capital
(iii) Socio-political Economy & Governance
(iv) Agriculture, Environment & Resources.
This two-day research workshop will include one day of paper presentations by the winners of the call for papers, and one day of presentations by the recipients of the 2015/2016 research grants. Selected papers from the call for paper process will be discussed in detail by senior researchers from Australia and Indonesia.
Call for papers
We invite submissions for paper presentations on any of the main topics of the workshop, by researchers at Indonesian research institutes.
Submissions of full paper should in English and be accompanied by an abstract of 300 words, and sent to indonesia.project@anu.edu.au.
Grants for travel expenses and accommodation will be available to presenters of selected papers.
Deadline for submissions is March 15th, 2016.
Acceptances will be notified by mid-April, 2016.
