4th International Joint Conference on Society and Health

“Global Health, Society and Development”

September 28th – 29th 2015

Venue : Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University Salaya, Nakornpatom, Thailand

Since its inception in 2012, the International Joint Conference on Society and Health has brought together scholars and academics from various countries in the Southeast Asian region to discuss issues that are pertinent to health, social inequity and the issue of globalization. Now in its fourth incarnation, the conference promises to be a platform from which ideas, research findings and arguments regarding scholarly works in the area of Health Social Science may be discussed.

Mahidol University is happy to be host of the conference, and the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities takes special pride in joining forces with the Faculty of Liberal Arts of De La Salle University in organizing this conference.

Dates: 28th and 29th of September 2015

Time: 9am – 5pm

Venue: The Learning Center, Mahidol University Salaya Campus

The conference achieved a new level of distinction last year when it was able to attract the attention of academics and scholars from Finland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand, The People’s Republic of China, the Philippines and the USA. This year, the conference hopes to add scholars from Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Singapore and Indonesia to the impressive list of presenters.

Abstracts of research papers in 200-500 words are invited. Topics of interest for submissions include, but are not limited to:

•Global health and challenges : situations and trends
•Inequity in health
•Transnational health and International health care
•emerging infectious diseases and society
•Substance abuse/ tobacco use and society
•Aging society
•Reproductive health

These areas of interest takes into consideration issues-based learning and research and promises to highlight the most recent findings in the areas of study.

Notification of Acceptance: 15th July 2015
